SUBTLER STUDIO is a practice-based and quietly expressive upstate workspace centered on original drawing, collage, and works on paper—conceptually grounded, accumulative assemblages, archives, or collections built from appropriated materials, raw calligraphic marks, and layered, durational process.
Many works are understated by nature—studies or sketches, spare or fragmentary pieces—but held together they form part of a long, unfolding experiment in form and attention.
